    CORBIN # 1348 1/2 PUSH BUTTON ENTRY MORTISE LOCK w/CYLINDER & KEY (14813)
    Vintage:  CORBIN circa 1925-1935 entry mortise lock lock.  Very hard to find in this condition. Comes with an original brass Corbin cylinder and one key.
    Large and heavy brass faceplate with plate clearly maker marked 'CORBIN', one of America's great manufacturers of builder's hardware during the second half of the 19th Century and the first half of the 20th Century .  Mortise is intended to be used with a thumb latch handle on the outside of the door and a turn knob from the inside of the door.  Also will accommodate a thumb turn lock for the dead bolt from the inside of the door.
    Dimensions as follows:
    FACEPLATE:
    Brass front plate measures  7 5/8" long, 1" wide, 1/4" thick.
    BOX:
    The box is 3 3/8" deep from the back of the brass face plate and it is 5 1/2" top to bottom.
    SCREWS:
    The screws are on 6 3/4" centers.
    BACKSET:
    The backset (the distance from the front edge of the brass faceplate to the center of the knob post hole is 2 1/2"
    DROP:
    The drop (the distance from the center of the key cylinder hole to the center of the knob post hole) is 2 1/2".
    FUNCTIONALITY:
    Designed for turn knob from the inside of the door and for a thumb press handle to be used from the outside of the door.
    KNOB POST SHAFT:
    Utilizes a 5/16" half post to hold the interior knob.
    THUMB TURN DISC:
    The lock utilizes a thumb turn from the inside of the door to throw the deadbolt.  A receiver disc is needed to utilize this function and the disc is included with the lock and affixed to the back side of the lock cylinder opening.
    CYLINDER:
    Comes with a Security Guard brass lock cylinder and two keys.
    Fully restored, very clean inside and out, no rust, functions perfectly, heavy duty and with keys!
    If you are simply replacing the lock body, you may already have everything you need.  However, if you need a half knob post shaft or anything else for this lock, please contact us as we can add to the order.
