CHANTRELL TOOL CO RIM LOCK w/KEY & KEEPER & ESCUTCHEONS - VERY NICE (16054)
Vintage, made by CHANTRELL TOOL CO., of Reading, PA, one of American' many great builder's hardware manufacturers during the second half of the 19th Century.  Key works just fine, comes with the keeper and both the knob and the key escutcheon, very well made.  All the old paint was removed by sandblasting and the box and keeper were clear coated with lacquer.  Use it like this with the industrial look or spray paint it any color you wish.
Completely reconditioned. The lock is reversible.
The box measures nearly 4 1/4" wide and about 3 3/8" tall.   The backset (the distance from the edge of the rim lock to the center of the knob post hole is 3 1/8".
Key works fine, safety lock works fine.
